I have a 1949 Plymouth 3 Window Business Coupe. I would like to install a 2008 5.7 HEMI engine and 5 speed transmission out of a truck.

Any and all pointers are greatly appreciated. If you’ve made this swap before - pics and information would be very helpful. Any time saved on chasing parts is greatly appreciated as well.

Seller of the HEMI engine and transmission is telling me the computer has been flashed. Also, the wiring harnesses have been created for the engine and a separate one for the transmission. Is there a way to know or is there a source that sells them?

I’m on the fence about doing this swap so thank you all in advance!

While I am sure someone has done this swap, I don't know whom, lol.

As for wiring harnesses, lots of vendors out there.  Holley makes a kit using their own computers too.

Here's a pic with dimensions that might help you decide how feasible it is.  Some time with the chart and a tape measure might be useful

Good luck
