What radio models in 47 Plymouth?

My P-15 Motorala radio is not working. I understand there are two models for that year. An 802 that has many interesting functional buttons, and something else. The front of mine is simple, just 5 selector buttons for stations, and below, just two, one for on/off, volume, the other to select stations. I'd like to fix it. Any suggestions? Ed P.

Yours is a model 602. There are a number of radio rebuilders listed in Hemmings Motor News.

Central52,I have not posted here in quite some time. I have been engrossed in rebuilding old radios. The 602 is is a six tube radio where ad the 802 is an eight tube radio with a much better sound quality.I have provided a link to the Mopar#802 that I redone and selling on ebay now. Notice that I install an input jack for a portable cd player . I have been rebuilding radio for quite some time now and guarantee my radios. I can be reched at NVARADIO@camcast.net or call 9782593293 if anyone needs a radio serviced.I know this is just a gross case of shameless self premotion. I feel that I do a very thorough job and take a lot of pride in my work as these old radios are a true passion of mine. [

Bob, link worked for me as well. Have some questions though.

What happened to the 2 dial knobs that go with the radio?

Is adding FM an option or should one just work with a cd player that has a radio?

Which would be the best price, your ebay listing price or sending one to you?

Do you take radios as a core charge to lower the cost, 2 for 1 in other words?

ED,I got the radio without any knobs. I thimk this is something people robbed off the cars it seems. yes ,if you get a cd player with an fm tuner in it you can listen to fm radio also. The main thing is to get a player with good anti skip protection. As for price I feel the one I have on Ebay is a very good deal. I would only consider a trade 2 for 1 if the One I keep is in good cosmetic condition and would prefer a photo of it. I did one of these deals before and what I got was a radio that was so poor cosmeticly that is was only good for parts. Now understand that this is not stereo but the left and right channels are connected together so you get a full sound. You also get to keep your 6 volt radio and listen to your favorite music on cd's. It beat the heck out the boombox on the seat or a 12 volt battery in the trunk to run a modern radio. I have this set up in my 49 Desoto and I love it. If you or anyone needs a radio rebiult feel free to email or call 9am-9pm est. Thank You Bob
