  1. Bill,I think this is the ad you most likely are looking for. It states original style seat covers $99.00. Call Weinstein at 716-689-6888 Hope this helps. You do see them on Ebay now and then but they are hit and miss. I bought one set and as soon as I tried to pull a little to install them the seams started to rip. The next set I found were nice. So to be safe I had the seams restitched by an older woman who I know. She had no problem since she had a commercial heavy duty machine. She restitched all the seams and only wanted to charge me $20.00. I told her that was crazy and talked her into taking $50.00. I guess it really depends on the original quality and how / where they were stored.
  2. By far the best car I ever owned was a 1954 Hudson Hornet. It had the 308 Hornet engine, factory dual carbs and 3 spd with overdrive. It run down the highway at 70 -80 mph with out even breaking a sweat. It was also a well put together car. I did get tired of the younger people asking if it was a chopped Merc. Just a great looking car. The last true Hudson. Then came the disastorous merger with Nash to form American motors.
  3. If you can find a model number try to look it up here,http://www.nostalgiaair.org/ Click on the resource link and all manufactures list will open, then look for the model number. it will give you the year it was made and the schematics. Good Luck
  4. ED,I got the radio without any knobs. I thimk this is something people robbed off the cars it seems. yes ,if you get a cd player with an fm tuner in it you can listen to fm radio also. The main thing is to get a player with good anti skip protection. As for price I feel the one I have on Ebay is a very good deal. I would only consider a trade 2 for 1 if the One I keep is in good cosmetic condition and would prefer a photo of it. I did one of these deals before and what I got was a radio that was so poor cosmeticly that is was only good for parts. Now understand that this is not stereo but the left and right channels are connected together so you get a full sound. You also get to keep your 6 volt radio and listen to your favorite music on cd's. It beat the heck out the boombox on the seat or a 12 volt battery in the trunk to run a modern radio. I have this set up in my 49 Desoto and I love it. If you or anyone needs a radio rebiult feel free to email or call 9am-9pm est. Thank You Bob

I can be reched at NVARADIO@camcast.net or call 9782593293 if anyone needs a radio serviced.I know this is just a gross case of shameless self premotion. I feel that I do a very thorough job and take a lot of pride in my work as these old radios are a true passion of mine.
