dgrinnan Posted October 25, 2023 Report Posted October 25, 2023 I am familiar with all the standard parts suppliers like Oldmoparts, DCM, etc... I have also used Len Dawson at dpmotorparts.com. I am searching for a hard to find part and didn't know if there was anyone else out there similar to Len Dawson that has the hard to find stuff. I need a rear propeller shaft spline yoke. I think the part number is G5027347905. Not the typical thing places like DCM carry. I might have found one on eBay but it is in Norway. I am waiting for a reply from Len Dawson. Quote
kencombs Posted October 25, 2023 Report Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) I may have the part. Need more info to know if it will work. It's from a 56 Pickup w/3spd. I'll be using the back of the driveshaft to build one that fits an A833OD and my stock differential. I know the 56 and 47 u-joints are different but if the bolt arrangement is the same as well as the spline size and count one could maybe upgrade to the later, easier to find joint. dgrinnan Posted October 25, 2023 Author Report Posted October 25, 2023 I haven't had a chance to measure it yet but it is 10 spline. Quote
kencombs Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 My spline count is 16 and a 1.250 diameter. Only usable in your case if you wanted to have a shop weld the male part into your shaft to gain the late u-joint. Quote
dgrinnan Posted October 26, 2023 Author Report Posted October 26, 2023 thanks, it might come to that but I will see if I can find the original part first. Quote
Solution dgrinnan Posted November 8, 2023 Author Solution Report Posted November 8, 2023 Just to follow up. I counted wrong. My spline is 16 but I have found and installed a replacement drive shaft from a 53 Dodge D100. All specification were the same except the actual diameter of the drive shaft is larger. Length, splines and old Cleveland style u-joints. I found the slip joint at DCM. Quote
