greg g Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Found out today the engine in my 56 Other truck project is not a 56. It is a 64 and came out of a Canadian Truck. Good part is the later engine was equipped with a full flow oiling system, and a factory spin in filter. I though it was a conversion but the number points to the fact that it is a later motor thusly equipt. So 56 frame, 64 engine, 86 transmission, 89 differential, and a 56 body. Quote

We are more than happy to have contributed to your project, Greg. Now, about the GST on that item? Our records show it to be outstanding:) Does it pull a bit to the north when you drive it?? Quote
greg g Posted November 18, 2007 Author Report Posted November 18, 2007 I believe the transfer of goods happened in a duty free scrap yard located in a disputed border area. Besides the transfer occured prior to the 1991 implimentation of the Goods and services tax. Only time will tell if it will pull at all, let alone to the north. It did seem to turn its nose up at the quarts of oil, prefering it seems to liter containers. Good thing I use Labatts Blue as a personal lubricant in the garage. Quote
