I have a 47 WC with the original electric wiper motors.  I have not wired them up yet but they are installed with the wiper arms on them.  While driving down the road the wind against the windshield is enough to spin them around and point them over the roof.   Once I park I can rotate them back down but the real issue is they turn with very little resistance.  they don't spin freely but it does not take a lot of effort to turn them.  Any ideas why they rotate so easily.  Are the motors past their end of life?

This might or might not be of some help . My truck has just one electric wiper motor on the drivers side . The passenger side motor was an option . I installed a NOS motor and I had the same problem with the wiper blade pushed up slightly on the roof , but not straight up . I jerry rigged a stop using the mounting post on the outside of the truck as a stopping post . It doesn't look very pretty , and I am not proud of it , but it works for that purpose . My blade was only pushed up by the wind at highway speed ( 65 MPH ) on the outside of the window . As for your motor turning too freely , I don't know  . Do you have a wiper blade on the motor that contacts the glass as much as possible for resistance ?

That might be a help.  Once I have the motors wired up, if they work I will figure out some sort of stop.  Yes, I do have the original wiper arms with new blades.  If the motors don't work I might have to buy a replacement for the driver side and remove the wiper arm on the passenger side.  At some point I would buy a new one for the passenger side but I have priced them and a new replacement motor is not cheap.

It has been a while, but I wired up the motors.  Neither one works. I have ordered a DCM 6V motor for the driver side.  I am going to attempt to rebuild the old one myself.  If I am successful, I will put it on the passenger side. If not, I will live without one on the passenger side.

That was probably your trouble. Mine has after market motors, because it came with vacuum motors. Never had the wipers move without the motor doing it. I'm going to put the vacuum motors back in since I rebuilt them and like the originality. I live in southern California, and I never intentionally drive in the rain.

I just installed one of the 6v replacement electric wiper motors from DCM Classic. Not happy with the quality of the wiper blade.
