bts_dodge49 Posted November 15, 2007 Author Report Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks...any idea how it works? Heat activated spring that moves the arm on warm-up? Do they work well, or should I stick with the manual choke? Quote
MBF Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 The one on my Dad's 35 Chrysler has a wire going to it to heat up the spring which mechanically opens the choke. It doesn't rely solely on manifold heat. I'm not sure if it has power to it all the time or if when the choke is opened it opens a circuit inside the stove body (I think it must). My '78 Dodge p'up w the /6 has the same arrangement with a resistor in the circuit. Mike Quote
