1940 Plymouth 3 Speed - Floor shifter from 1937 Plymouth transmission

Hi, does anyone know if a floor shifter from a 1937 Plymouth 3 Speed trans will bolt into a 1940 Plymouth 3 Speed.

I'm looking into buying a 1940 Plymouth Coupe project and considering options.  I have a 1937 Plymouth 2dr sedan parts car with the engine and trans still in it.  I would prefer a floor shifter.

Thanks,

Ken

This was probably a stupid question, but thought maybe it could be converted to floor shift with new side covers and shifter mechanism.

IIRC the floor shifted three speed is a top loader and there is no side cover to swap.  You will have to swap the trans completely, and probably a bunch more stuff too.
