dgrinnan Posted October 8, 2022 Report Posted October 8, 2022 Rear bumpers for a 47 1/2 ton are like the unicorn of truck parts. How are you guys finishing the rear of your truck without a bumper? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 8, 2022 Report Posted October 8, 2022 I suppose this is where I'm not supposed to say that both the ones I've worked on we found factory rear bumpers for .... Not cheap but you can get reproductions from DCM. Also someone on the IO group used a reproduction Ford or Chevy bumper that looked really good and only a purist would know the difference Quote
dgrinnan Posted October 8, 2022 Author Report Posted October 8, 2022 (edited) I am not opposed to another bumper that looks like it belongs. I saw the DCM after market ones. Trying to avoid that expense if possible. If someone knows what make/years look right let me know. Edited October 8, 2022 by dgrinnan Quote

Apparently they used a Ford F1 bumper(didn't say front or rear) and then early 50s Chevy truck brackets Quote
dgrinnan Posted October 9, 2022 Author Report Posted October 9, 2022 I will have to look at the Ford bumper. The truck came with a 50s Chevy bumper and brackets. I didn't realize until I tried to mount it that it was wrong. Quote
