I need some help identifying the generator off of the spare engine I bought. The engine came from a 51 Coronet but the engine number prefix is L230 which specifies a 58 truck. The tag on the generator is damaged and I can’t get the complete number. It’s either G or D then I can’t make out the 2nd letter then C7012A. The generator is almost identical to the one on my 52 Coronet except there are 2 mounting holes or ears if you prefer on the front flange. I’m debating on having it rebuilt but I’m wondering if it’s the 12 volt generator from the truck. I’m going to post this on the truck side of the forum also. Thanks in advance

It looks like a 12 volt from 1956-on if it is a GJC-7012a.  Is the tag red or green?  The red tags are generally 6 volt.
