Ralph D25cpe
Found this old cast iron tractor seat at a farm auction here in southern Alberta,(tractor was nowhere in sight). I was aware that Chrysler purchased Maxwell Motor Company and on further research via the internet I found that Maxwell manufactured a tractor post WWI,prior to the Chrysler takeover....Anyhow I now own part of a Maxwell tractor...?
cheesy
I know nothing of Maxwell tractors but we had McCormick-Deerings on the family farm when I was kid. Other than them being red, all I recall is that those seats really hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Good score.
RobertKB
Nice item! I have a couple of old seats but they are pressed steel so newer than your cast iron one. I use mine as yard art. Edited August 11, 2022 by RobertKB
