Wimbledon37 Posted February 14, 2022 Report Posted February 14, 2022 i am rebuilding a Plymouth P4 engine. When i bought the car, which hade been completely dismantled, there were two engines also completley dismantled. I have two sets of valve springs which are different lengths. Can anyone tell me what length the springs should be? Quote
9 foot box Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 All the old springs in my 230 c.i. engine are 2” tall. I can’t say for certain if a 201 engine is the same, but they should all be the same length. They should be tested on a spring scale. Compressed to 1 3/4” with a 40-45 lbs. reading. It would be best to replace all the springs. Rick D. Quote
