37business Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 I am installing an intake/exhaust manifold on an IND265 engine that didn't have a manifold installed. I was going to used grade 8 nuts and a couple of bolts for missing ones. I have read in this forum that one should use brass nuts, not sure exactly why however but I would like to do this correctly. I have seen kits available for this. So my question is in regards to this kit where do the steel nuts go and where do the brass nuts go? Also there are conical washers also - where do they go? What is the torque sequence for these and torque settings? Thanks all. Quote
