Knobs for a 1939 Plymouth Business Coupe

Hi, Hopefully someone can help me with the color of the knobs used with the 39 Ply. Business Coupe.  My original knobs were in rough condition, especially on the top surfaces.  Several years ago I filled in the cracks redid the lettering in white to match the original color and clear coated.  They look ok, not great, not sure how fragile some are.  The color of my original knobs are a caramel color, was able to retain the translucent color on the sides.  Recently acquired a panel knob for a 39 Ply, was told it was for a convertible.   Lettering is perfect and has the two circular groves around the outside edges which match my knobs, however the lettering and circular groves are black, this can be repainted.  My concern is the color of the knob is more of a brown / green color compare the the caramel color of the original knobs.  Did the convertibles use a different color, or perhaps the colors wern't used consistent?  I prefer the caramel color & could repaint the complete knob.

Thank you in advance for your comments

rich looking at the knobs I have the color of the same knobs onmy 39 Desoto as the one on the bottom.  I also have a cigar light that is NOS with the knob and element and that knob is the color of the one on the top.

SO I think that the bottom one is for the 39 Desoto and the top is the correct color. There was a difference in the color of the knobs. If this is not the correct knob would you want to sell it?

Thanks Rich, that will be a winter day project to repaint the knob.  What ever it was off of, all of the detail is there just colors are off.

Rich Instead of painting the one you have I might have the correct colored one and would trade with your since it is the correct color for my 39 Desoto.
