WPVT Posted August 5, 2020 Report Posted August 5, 2020 Does anyone make a business of rebuilding Dodge truck door latches from the 1950's? Quote
ggdad1951 Posted August 6, 2020 Report Posted August 6, 2020 First off: What do you mean by "rebuild"? These things are pretty beefy and don't wear generally TOO bad, springs on the other hand... No one I know of, but that doesn't mean squat! I know several members have taken things apart and did some work. Quote
WPVT Posted August 6, 2020 Author Report Posted August 6, 2020 Thanks. The internal rotating parts have worn, the hub that receives the spindle, and the cam that actuates the latch, making the handle operation pretty sloppy. I'll have a machinist look at it, but I thought maybe someone out there may do this on a regular basis. Quote
