Young Ed Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 anyone else getting an error message trying to get into the chat tonight? will try again in a little bit Ed Quote
Bob_Koch Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I've had to move the whole website to another internet hosting provider this weekend.. So it will be off line for another day and may take a few days beyond that to get everything working. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the lack of support from the last provider was intolerable. Young Ed Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 Bob Even though Im not a member thanks for keeping up the site. I do enjoy chatting with the other truck guys. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks for the comment. I never wanted a site that had exclusive areas only for members. I feel that content should be available to everyone because we all enjoy these trucks. Those that can join will , those that can't don't need to feel that they're being excluded. Some of the content on the site is hard to come by. I just bought today two truck sales books for salesmen for 1952 and 1953 trucks These are pretty rare and not cheap, but they'll be available to everyone once I get them scanned. Sometimes some of the members have made their material available to scan and we put that up also. The idea is to have a complete resource of materials about our trucks all in one location for everyone to use. We all benefit. I know from watching the web site logs that we are helping the restoration of many trucks overseas. Those people may not feel like joining, but they can still enjoy the parts manuals, brochures and service manuals even though they live in Poland, Brazil, France and so on. I think it's terrific we can help them as well. And the chat sessions have become a terrific way of connecting. So glad you join us on that. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 Bob you never know when a pilot house might follow me home and then I'd have to join up. The neighbor has one on a modern chassis that I think I could practically have but its kind of a POS. I have a copy of one of those salesman books for my truck. Very useful. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 What year trucks is your salesman's book for? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 I think its from 46 but I'd have to look. The 39-47s are so similar I may have bought a different year knowing it would be so close. Quote
