I am rebuilding a 1939 Dodge D11 transmission and need a "Synchronizer stop ring spreader spring". Apparently, it goes between the synchronizer stop ring and the clutch gear. Any assistance in where to find one would be greatly appreciated.

By chance do you have a parts book so you can look up the exact part number? If you do, search that part number on Ebay.

Thank you for your reply. That is a great idea. Any idea where I can buy a parts book?

Ebay also. Be sure not to buy the 1939 “Preliminary” version of the  parts book. My understanding is they came out early and were not quite yet complete.
