Mr. Belvedere Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 This is a driveshaft I pulled from my parts car. Made by Spicer or at least the yolk is, because that is what is stamped on it. Anyway, it bolts right in to the flanges for the detroit ball and trunion type joint. Guess I can use this baby until I figure out what I am going to do about the original that needs a boot. Does any one else have one of these in place of the original or something like it? I may just stick with this unless I am being judged, seems like a sturdy unit and it has modern u's so I don't have to worry about it as much, also cheaper to fix if it does give out. Quote
Jim Saraceno Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 I just had one of those made for my car. The cost of 2 rebuild kits were $310 from Roberts. The cost of a custom made, brand new shaft was $250. Quote
martybose Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 The pictures are the same driveshaft that I bought on eBay for $90 + shipping about 10 years ago. Arived in a Mopar box, and is still going strong today! Marty Quote

Normspeed Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Mr. B, you got lucky with the parts car. That setup looks like a keeper. Quote
