RobertKB Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I know for some of you guys who live in wet parts of the world rainy days are nothing. For us on the southern Alberta prairies rainy days are not that common. Had an old car run today and put about 175 miles on the D25 in fairly heavy rain. It was cold also and where the picture was taken is at an altitude of about 4500' so I am glad it did not snow. The day was raw to say the least. Heater worked well and the rebuilt wiper motor did its thing all day long. Only problem was the water inside as I still have not managed to track down the leak at the front. However, after 20+ years, I think I know where it is now. Even though the day was a bit wild the company was great and the food good. Never yet had a bad time on an old car run! The best part of owning an old car is driving it! Quote
Guest jtw3749c Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Not sure , but from what you said about the leak being in the front, could it be a weep hole without a tube to run it outside? Don't know if they still had weeps that late in the game. My 37 Ply has three weep holes. And as you said, rain or shine, you can't beat driving them. Quote

What are these weep holes you are refering to, I have a '38 and would be interested to know more about these (specifically location) ....never heard of them before. Thanks Dave Quote
Normspeed Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Great looking coupe Robert. I remember Mopar heaters from the winters of my childhood and they are great. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Hi Robert, that is what it's all about isn't it. Drive'em and enjoy'em. The coupe looks good. Where did you go on your run? Brendan. Quote
RobertKB Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Brendan, we went south from Lethbridge to Milk River (10 miles from US border) and then west over the Milk River Ridge, hence the 4500 feet. We stopped at Whiskey Gap where the photo was taken and had a little refreshment there. On to Cardston near Waterton Lakes National Park for lunch and then back to Lethbridge. A great day out despite the weather. Quote
