installing a pilot bushing

Getting ready to put a clutch kit in my dad's 41 plymouth P11. How far should I install the pilot bushing in the crankshaft? The old one I took out was flush with the outside edge of the crankshaft. Thanks.

should be bottomed per my experience...GIVEN you have the bush or right specs to start with.....do yourself a favor and spec your old one before removal and compare...if you have to correct it in any manner or find your replacement wrong.....now is the time to beat that horse.
