I recently posted a factory bulletin picture of the Eaton 1350 complete vacuum system...

As an alternative to the complexity of a vacuum shift installation, why not install an electric shifter? I have an Eaton 1310 (not in a truck) that shifts electrically, as do most other Eaton rear axles. It would be much quicker and easier, not to mention cheaper.

Electric 2 speeds tend to grind somewhat even when the motors are spinning at the rated RPM.

12 volt too.

Vacuum type shifters are super fast and positive...no waiting....split shifting is positive and easy.

Motor type I never liked them.

JMO.?

Not sure which shifter Is on the axle yet, hopefully it is a vacuum one. I am waiting to hear back what it has.

I know some of the right hand drive T110 had actually had a manual shift axle.

I have driven various old British trucks with air shift Eaton axles and they shift nice, expect a vacuum one to be fairly similar to use.

i'll echo bob, the 1350 vacuum shift eaton is faster than either an electric or cable shift version.  it is very smooth, too.  once i figured out split shifting, the truck become MUCH easier to drive.
