tundrajax Posted August 25, 2018 Report Posted August 25, 2018 Does anyone put Lucas oil stabilizer when they do an oil change in their flathead? I'm getting ready to do my first oil change and was thinking about using one like I have on all of my older cars. My 55 only has 59k miles on it not even sure if it needs it or if I'm being overly cautious. Quote
thebeebe5 Posted August 25, 2018 Report Posted August 25, 2018 I’ll sometimes use a fuel stabilizer, especially if a vehicle will sit for an extended period (like summer), but i don’t use an oil stabilizer.... Quote
sser2 Posted August 25, 2018 Report Posted August 25, 2018 All additives in modern motor oils are carefully balanced for optimal performance in laboratory tests. Adding anything to oil screws up this balance and is not recommended. Quote
