Hi all, last night I had the priveledge to go and visit a fellow Chrysler man, and to view his 2 Old Mopars, a 1947 T&C Convertable, and a 48 Chrysler T&C Sedan. He also had a beautiful Model T sedan, which unfortunately I did not get a pic of. At the same time I was able to acquire a few items, to complete my resto of my 47 Chrysler Coupe. I even got a park light lense, a headlight ring, and the gas tank, as well as some other items. Jack was very intersting to speak with, he has a wealth of knowledge on old Mopars, the flathead engines as his first job in 1946 was in a Chrysler dealership in Winnipeg. I asked him what made him want gget into the 46 to 48 Chryslers, he said he first saw a 1948 T&C Convert, while working at the dealership, when he was 16, he knew he would have to have one someday. It was nice to eet this gent and to view his T&Cs..........Fred

Fred, did either of those have the 8 cylinder flathead? If not do you know which of Chrysler's model's did have them?

Do you have any links for Chrysler forums?

Ed

Forgot to mention, nice cars. Love the woodies.

Yes they in fact are 8s, the rag top has 52000 original miles, they are both US cars, one is from Montana....Fred

The T&C convertibles were all 8 cylinders, although Chrysler supposedly made a prototype 6 cylinder convertible and the T&C 4 doors- except for about a 100 were all 6 cylinder cars. There are only a handful of the C38 4 door sedans existing with the 8`s in them. One at least was a conversion. Recently a rare 1946 T&C roadster woodie that was only a prototype with the 6 cylinder has been hand built exactly as in the sales brochure of 1946!Bob

Bob, I believe you are correct, in fact the sedan is a 6, I was wrong as the owner did not open the hood, I just assumed it was an 8, it is a 6. These cars are truly engineering works of art, seeing them up close, allows you to sse there greatness...Fred
