Turbo53 Posted June 24, 2018 Report Posted June 24, 2018 I mean the other side of driveshaft that connects to pinion Quote
bosworth Posted June 24, 2018 Author Report Posted June 24, 2018 I didn’t modify the drive shaft at all. The Jeep rear end uses the same universal as the Dodge. So spring perches are about it. I used the shock mounts from the stock axle. 1 Quote
bosworth Posted June 24, 2018 Author Report Posted June 24, 2018 The oil soup, did you connect the Jeep e brakes using the Dodge e brake cable? What other hardware is involved? At some point I may want to switch over to the Jeep e brakes thanks Bill Quote
bosworth Posted June 24, 2018 Author Report Posted June 24, 2018 I haven’t run over 60 but haven’t noticed any vibration Quote

I also eliminated the trans brake and use the e-brake on the Cherokee axle. What parts did you use for the cables from the brake handle to the turnbuckle, I am looking to do the same. Quote
DJ194950 Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 Might look through this companies website for pieces/parts. http://www.controlcables.com/parking-brake-controls/ Best, DJ Quote
The Oil Soup Posted June 26, 2018 Report Posted June 26, 2018 The '53 has the brake handle mounted under the dash with a cable from there to linkage on the trans and I simply ran a 1/4" steel rod from the trans back to the e-brake cable bracket. Might be a photo on here somewhere. Quote
