bambamshere Posted March 15, 2018 Report Posted March 15, 2018 So I want to adjust the vavles this year on my 251. As we all know the exhaust maniflod is kinda in the way. I have been searching for a wrench set to do the job. I was wondering if anybody had ever tried to use regular wrenches to do it? I know you should have longer ones. I really don't want to send down to the states to buy them. No offense to the guys down there. Does any body in Canada know where you can get them from? Not planning on buying anything till April. ggdad1951 Posted March 15, 2018 Report Posted March 15, 2018 I'd say your local auto shop should carry them, or Amazon. Regular wrenches are to thick...you really need the right wrench...if you wanna be cheap you can always grind down a regular wrench and weld an extension to it. Quote
johnsartain Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) I see you're in Canada but sears should ship to there They have a set, with the thin long profile that works well for tappets so much they named them Tappet Wrenches. $18.99 US a set plus shipping. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-5-pc-standard-tappet-wrench-set/p-00947415000P Edited March 29, 2018 by johnsartain Quote
