Hello - what frame, or frames, would you consider using to replace my original 1951 B-3-D-126? Also, what engine / transmission / rear end combination would you use? I am interested in hearing from any and all with your suggestions and thoughts.

Happy holidays!

I think it would be easier to pull your sheet metal off, and put it on a chassis of your choosing.

sounds like the only thing you want to keep is the sheet metal, gives you lots of options.

It all boils down to what you want to build. Basically you have a ball of clay and what it ends up being is in your hands.

Seriously think about what you want to use the truck for, is it to take you exploring on back country roads, cruise night at the local A&W, or haul hay for your critters.

Once you figure out what you want, then find a donor truck to suit your needs.

And HAVE FUN  working on it. If you are not enjoying it, then your doing it wrong. If you have any old dodge parts that can be re-used, try to get them back to someone who needs them rather then scrapping them.

Looking forward to what you come up with.

Merry Christmas
