Is it safe to flip the shackles on my b2b. I was also thinking of air shocks any ideas. Wondering how much drop there will be thanks

I have done it on my C1B and Oil Soup has done it on his B series. It will get you down a couple inches or more and rides stock. Best bet is to get the 53 Willy's shackles from RockAuto for about $10 a piece. They are shorter and will help with bed clearance. Depending on the condition of your springs, you might also need adjust pinion angle which can be done cheaply with shims. Overall it's a cheap and easy way to lower it down.

Just as an update, I had new rear springs and flipped Willy's shackles. It got me down as low as I wanted, but still rode like a truck. Since I dont use mine as a truck and just a cruiser with a maximum load of a bicycle, ice chest and lawn chairs I decided to work on the rear suspension today.

I kept the shorter Willy's shackles and put them back to the normal position. My original springs had 6 leaves and my new ones had 7. I went down to 4 springs and it went back to the same desired height and now rides much smoother. Another option depending on what you use the truck for.

Yes, that means as low as desired. The tires are just tucked into the fenders in the back. I will try to get a picture later.

As for the springs starting at the bottom, I took the 2nd-4th. Basically took the middle short stuff ones out and left the longer ones with the clamps. Originally, I just grabbed the 2nd and 4th but it still sat too high, Thinking about it later, I should of done 2,3 and 5. But 5 had all the clamps on it.

Here is from a little ride today. The front has a 3" dropped axle and the second spring removed. The rear has WIlliy's shackles and 4 springs instead of 6. Also note those are 17" wheels and about 27.5" tall tires. She rides great and handles fairly well for a solid axle vehicle.

Thanks very much.  That is the look for which I am shooting, too.
