bambamshere Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 I know there is already a post a King Pins but I thought I would as anyways. I have a 1956 Fargo 1Ton. I was wondering if these would fit my truck or if anyone would know this. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,1960,d200+pickup,3.8l+230cid+l6,1489525,steering,king+pin+set,7340 Quote
bambamshere Posted June 3, 2017 Author Report Posted June 3, 2017 No one knows if these kingpins would fit my truck. Quote
lonejacklarry Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 Well, I don't know either. According to Nostalgia Sid's web site: Dodge MOOG NAPA1964-70 ½ ton pickup 8453B or N .8730 dia 262-1378 .8730 dia 1963-68 A-100 8453B or N .8730 dia 262-1378 .8730 dia 1950-56 ½ ton pickup 8453B or N .8730 dia 262-1378 .8730 dia 1960-72 D-100 8453B or N .8730 dia 262-1378 .8730 dia 1957-59 ½ ton pickup 262-1416 My guess is that they would not fit in that the 1/2 ton is a light duty and the 1 1/2 ton is built stronger and, maybe, has sturdier stuff. On the other hand, I might be wrong. It has happened before. Not often but it has happened. Quote
bambamshere Posted June 3, 2017 Author Report Posted June 3, 2017 Ya I wasn't sure either. My Dad got a safety done on this truck before I took it over and one thing that was on it was the kingpins. Quote
bach4660 Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 I don't know if they will fit, but curious as to why you didn't look at 1956 for your 1956? https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,1956,truck,3.8l+230cid+l6,1488225,steering,king+pin+set,7340. For the amount of work, I think I would spend the extra $12 and move to the $50 ones that are on the 1956 list, BUT that still doesn't answer the question if it will fit. Quote
bambamshere Posted June 3, 2017 Author Report Posted June 3, 2017 You guys must be good at looking for stuff on Rock Auto because I was on there the other day and didn't see squat. But thank you for the link. 1 Quote
lonejacklarry Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 If you were to compare part numbers for the king pins for each truck, it would answer your questions. Quote
