daimlerchryslerman Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Hi Guys, I have a 2 ton 1950 Fargo. It has a 2 speed Timken diff. It started falling out of high range a bit and now it will not stay in high range at all. There is a bit of vaccum noise at the diff and I suspect that the diaphragm is broken inside. Does any one know of any one that can repair or replace the vaccum unit on the diff ? Cheers ! Ray Morris Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 You might find an air brake chamber diaphram that could be modified or use a truck inner tube cut to fit. Also maybe try Mitchell motor parts. Bob Quote
anthonyb Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 I think Reg Evans posted a picture of an aftermarket brake booster in his truck and link for a place in Calif. that rebuilds/manufactures brake boosters. I don't remember the name of the place but I checked out their site and it seemed like they could build/rebuild just about any type of vacuum device like this. I couldn't find the post that this was in. Quote
