mattimuss Posted May 1, 2016 Report Posted May 1, 2016 Hey All, When I pulled/cleaned/tuned the ditributor I discovered two sets of numbers, one set on the attached plate and the other set stamped into the bottom [see pictures] Which set of numbers do I use to identify the distributor when purchasing parts? mattimuss Posted May 2, 2016 Author Report Posted May 2, 2016 Thanks PA! If I am reading that correctly it looks like IGS111-411. The last digit is difficult to decipher. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 I thinka you a bit dyslectic...that translates to IGS4111-1 per my reading of your tag......for 1941 the book says IGS 4204-1 should be your animal I think the IGS-4111-1 was listed for the Ply Truck of the same year Quote
mattimuss Posted May 2, 2016 Author Report Posted May 2, 2016 Thanks for the help! I didn't see the I before the G on the tag and the S looked like an 8 to me. I was referring to the number on the bottom of the distributor. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 use the assigned distributor number on the metal tag affixed to the distributor..the other would be a casting number 1 Quote
