Didn't have anything resembling a gasket in place upon removal. Ready to reinstall tomorrow. Is there supposed to be one or should I make one?

Should have a gasket just to eliminate metal to metal. Cap is vented, so not a sealing thing.

Just trace the lid and make the gasket al little bigget on the indise and cut the appropriate holes.  It is a not an oil seal but just makes a seal because of metal agains t metal.

Thanks fellows. Shouldn't be difficult.
