JIPJOBXX Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I use Roadcare for all my rigs! I just had a flat tire on my Wanderlodge out in the front driveway and they paid for all the repairs. I got it through CamperWorld and it cost around 90 dollars a year and well worth the money spent! No hassle and that a good thing into days world. Jon Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Pete; Not so car dependent as it is actually driving your car dependent. If your car sat in the garage except for a couple of trips down the driveway and back you most likely would not need AAA Well Don, from the 60's up to about the late 90's I use to put between 30,000 and 40,000 miles per year on my vehicles. And yes, during that time I have had to call a tow truck a few times. about 1968 - Had my 67 Chrysler towed to the dealer because it wouldn't start. Tow bill was put under the warranty with the repairs. about 1970 - Had to have my 70 Impala company car towed in when the starter went out. Tow bill was included in with the warranty. about 1979 - Had my wifes 78 Aspen towed home when it wouldn't start. Was only about 5 miles and cost was only about $25. about 1988 - Had my 87 Reliant towed to the dealer when it died. Again, cost was covered with the warranty repairs. about 1995 - Was on vacation in Richmond, VA and my 90 Caravan wouldn't start (bad starter). Had it towed a couple of miles up the road from the hotel to a Dodge dealer and the cost was only around $25 or $30. June 1995 - Bought my P15 and had it towed on a flatbed for about 25 miles to my house. Cost was only $50. That's the only time my P15 has been towed since I owned it. Have had very few flats, but when I did I always changed them myself. It's quicker than waiting for someone to come do it for me. The key is. If the car is well maintained, chances are you won't need a tow. Actually, towing insurance is like any other insurance you may have. Just a gamble that you may or may not need it. I gamble on the positive side and say I won't need it because I won't use it that much. As I tell all sales people: "Think Positive", "Be Positive", "Act Positive":) . When you buy towing insurance you are thinking "Negative" and "Acting Negative". So, "Be Positive". Sales class over. Quote
