imal80sman Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Hello all of you wonderful P 15 enthusiasts! I have a question and I have looked online with no luck! First off, in my 1949 P15 Plymouth, the back seats have straps attached to the top! Now intone days before seatbelts, I imagine those are for people to hold on to in case they are whipped around while riding! What are those straps called? First off! Second, mine are in good shape but one is missing the piece of Bakelite for the center piece of that device! What would that be called? I need to know so I can search them out online so I can replace the one! Lastly, if anyone knows where I might obtain one, please pass that on as well! Thank you all in advance! TodFitch Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 They are called "assist straps". At least for my car finding one in reasonable condition is pretty hard, usually you end up using the existing bracket and having the strap made up by an upholstery specialist. If you are missing a detail out of the bracket then you have some searching to do. You might try placing an ad in the classified section. Quote
