Woody Branham Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Anyone have a rebuildable one? The one that is on mine is the same as my 1950 DeSoto and I know it is not the correct one. Thanks, Woody Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Woody, Not everyone knows which distributor belongs on the P11. Do you have the distributor numbers that were original? If so, maybe someone has one laying around and really doesn't know if it's the correct one for your year and model. If you know the right numbers, post them. Quote
Woody Branham Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 I can look it up in the parts book at work tomorrow. Quote
greg g Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Whats the difference? a working dizzy is a working dizzy. Unless you are going concours, find one from a short block mopar and use it. Unless the P11 did not use vacuum advance they are interchangeable. The advance cruves might be a bit different, but not enough to cause a problem. Althoug the Desoto diz for the long block should have a longer drive tang and shouldn't fit unless the shft was changed. Quote
