Phil Martin Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 My fluid drive gyromatic shifts up and down like is should. But when it is ready to shift from third to fourth it seems to be a slow shift. If I push in the clutch it shifts immediately but if I let up pn gas to let it shift it seems like it should shift a little faster. Is there an adjustment for this? Quote
Tom Skinner Posted May 24, 2015 Report Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) Transmission Selenoid Switch Fuse Good? Connections Clean and Tight? Wires to and from Selenoid Switch to, Transmission Governor, Interuptor Switch, etc. Good Transmission Fluid Full and Clean? (Pressure in Transmission must reach about 40/PSI for shifting to occur) Engine Idle Low? (Around 450-500/RPM) Service Manual Trouble Shoot Guide will uncover the problem. Follow the Directions down the List one by one and Test each Item until you prevail. Sometimes Governor Points are Dirty, slow Shifting as well. Good Luck!
