Plastic-topped Plymouth... must have been a one-off

Now......I have just sent Jessica at the company a picture of the Plymouth (or Dodge) originally posted plus the

info added by Robin about the builder Western Flyer.  Never know what interesting things will turn up on this

forum.

Anyone discovered any other interesting modifications or conversions of these old Mopar cars.  As  you probably

know, many DeSotos were used as Skyview Cabs in big cities in the 30s and 40s.  Anything else we know of?

Found this extensive article about the conversions:  http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/w/waters/waters.htm

Also, an article by allpar:            http://www.allpar.com/squads/desoto-taxis.html

I found this picture of a plastic-topped Plymouth in Canada, 1946.

Would love to know more about this one.

...I can imagine they were listening to Wilf as they drove along. :)..
