I searched through the archive looking for pictures/info.

 

I admit I could have missed the info I was looking for, but couldn't seem to find anything definitive.

 

How the heck do I tell if I have an overdrive unit in my car?

if you are referring to your 41 Dodge..probably not...was not offered..if retrofitted you will have to crawl under and look for the tell-tell signs like the solenoid for one...special switch on the carb linkage for kickdown and the engaging lever mounted on the dash usually left of the column

 

look for BW R10 overdrive units under images on the internet
