Don Colliau Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I have a customers 1955 two door wagon with the flat head 6 cylinder. It has some adapted junk yard radiator in it. They would like an original style radiator. Since I don't have a original to measure can anybody give me pictures and measurements for one of these? No one makes one, they are all special order. I wonder how close a 1950 radiator is? Thanks, Don Quote
chopt50wgn Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I have a 50 wagon and I made this radiator to fit my radiator support. Not sure if the 55 has the same type support. I work for a cooling company so making this was not a big deal. I also don't know if you are looking at getting a stock replacement copper/brass or go to aluminum like I did. Quote
ChrisRice Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) What measurements do you need? These pics are from my 55 plymouth wagon 4 door. This is an original honeycomb radiator for this car marked on backside with CDDP Ab (using the chrysler, dodge, plymouth, desoto marking)... I'm not sure what the ab stands for. JerseyHarold Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 If you can locate an old Modine (or similar aftermarket radiator brand) catalog it may have dimensions or even a list of what cars take this radiator. Quote
Andydodge Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 My 1950-1965 Chrysler Interchange manual lists the 6 cylinder radiator as the same in 1955 and 56 Dodge and Plymouth..........but doesn't list size etc......hope this helps....andyd Quote
