The very dark photo is one of which I am sorta' proud. It is a shot of my passengers' side floor. Originally had mostly hole - all gone from below the skill to the transmisskion cover. What you see now is a marriage of two original floor pan pieces - one from S. Dakota - thanks Dale - and one from Montana - thanks Krist. One was fine but cut short, the other cut just right but rusted in the one side. Put 'em both together and migged them in place. Finish is Zero Rust - thanks GTK - and Auto Zone rattle can bed liner, which is what I use for undercoat. White stuff around e-brake and shift tower is one square foot of 4-inch high density foam cut to fit. All seams were sealed with black RTV. Sure is a relief to see some real floor after a year of lookking at rusty edges.

Tires are 215x85-16. Tire man looked at my rims and said, "No Way!" I persuaded him to mount the used spare for me and it looked fine to both of us, so I let him sell me four new Dayton's - $112 a piece. Spare carrier is fa factory mount from a GM step side. Works just fine with some lug repositioning.

Now this Pilothouse runs and stops. Gotta' finish the nose job, then it's cruisin' time - I hope.:)

You're making some nice progress there. You'll be ridin in style soon.

One note, you've given up the ability to watch the road go by with your new floor pans. Something about having an old truck and watching the road, from between your feet.

But Bob . . . . . .

Dontcha' gotta' have blow-by to make the whole picture complete? My last Pilothouse - 30 years ago - had so much compression coming out the road draft tube on steep pulls that it ALL came up through the floor - smelled like it, at least!

Thanks for the kind words. I wish you all lots of fine progress on your own projects this season.,:)
