Folks,

I've searched the forums and haven't found anyone's solution to finding new bed side panels. I have a '52 B3C and I want to get it repainted. I'd like to freshen the bed up with some new panels. I can find the tail gate and front panel from MAR-K but can't find the side panels. Anyone know a supplier?  BTW, mine is a high side.

There is a guy who has stamped out new bedsides for that era bed. Check out this link to see the Power Wagon beds he made:

I asked him about making shorter beds and he said all the dies are 8 feet long and he can make any length bed you need. Contact him and he can set you up with brand new bedsides. If you are willing to take a stamped blank, cut it to length and mount the stake pockets yourself he said the price would be less. He makes everything you need for the sides brand new and the parts are super nice. I saw them in person a couple years ago.

Call Matt and save yourself endless amounts of labor.

I gotta say that the bed sides dont look all that bad from the photo that you uploaded. If i were you id try to save those, i purchased new bed sides for my '52 B3b (low side) from Bruce Horkey because my truck came without a bed. They are really good quality and Bruce was very helpful and pleasant to deal with but it was expensive. If i was to do it again id be more inclined to find a bed and fix it up or build my own, i love metal fabrication so id probably build it. Unless you are looking for a show quality bed with absolutely no flaws then id try rehabbing the old one. Just my 2 cents, but good luck with your hunt for the high sides i know theyre a little more difficult to find.

Those bed sides from Power Wagon Beds are sure beautiful and worth every penny but $3,750 per pair leaves a lot of room for welding, shaping,  hammering, priming and painting if you have a bed in restorable shape.  My bed was beyond restoration because of the PO's poor decision making and rough use. I toyed with the idea of fixing my tailgate but realized the time it would take to fix mine would be more expensive time wise than purchasing a new Dodge script one at $375. I did spend about $3,000 for a new bed and another $1,000 for painting.  Even though I did the priming and wood finishing it was still the single most expensive part of my rebuild.

Not sorry,

Folks,

Thanks for all of the updates and information. First, a large tree branch fell on the right side of my bed and caused a pretty serious dent. I thought that it would be cheaper to find a bed side than to try to find a hammer and dolly man to do the repairs.  From the responses, I may just try to find a body man. I tried to contact the power wagon sides guy by email because he has no prices for a high side on his website. He blew me off.  Guess when you sell sides for $3,750 as someone has mentioned, you can make them come to you.  Anyway, many thanks for the assists and well wishes.

Maybe if you post up some pictures of the damaged side someone might be able to suggest on how to go about fixing it, just a thought. Good luck
