Hi.

Does anyone know of a source for the sill covers in old mopars? The cover that snaps onto the door 'threshold' on top of the rocker panels?

Thanks

Steele only has the grommets used to attach the sill cover to the sill.

I found a guy on Ebay selling some sill covers from a Plymouth but they looked no better than mine.

Maybe I can fabricate something.

Find a salvage yard and get some from a car like yours. Some people have replaced the rubber sill with metal ones from later cars. If your rubber is there and not all cut up, you can improve the look of it by cleaning with soap, water and brush. After cleaning, get a spray can of black vinal paint from a auto parts store and paint them. This paint will make the rubber look like new.

Just looked at Steele, and they do have them--about $470 per pair! Bernbaum has them for a bit less, but still over $400. So the junkyard route could make sense. The rubber seems to last pretty well, but the steel backing rots away--might be able to fabricate a new steel strip if necessary.
