Just bought a '47 D-24 Town Sedan

With only 27,800 produced it pushes toward the rare area.

  27,600 bizzy coupe

    9,500 convertible

    3,698 7p Sed

103,800 Club Coupe

  81,399 2-dr Sed

395,898 4-dr Sed closest in comparison body?  Suicide doors on the reg sedan as opposed to forward hinge rear doors on the Town Sed.

EDIT: ref: standard catalog of American cars

EDIT 2: there were also 2 limousines, and 302 chassis.  I have seen 1 town sedan. Somewhat in a state of disrepair, up close and personal at the junk yard.

Fair enough....

I thought I had seen several of these (Dodge version) traipse through e-bay over the last several years  ?

I find it interesting that the Club Coupes outsold the 2-door sedan...

Frank...there has been posted references to a couple of these cars being auctioned and a couple as being recently ( past couple years) acquired by members here, mostly by new members and this being their first qualifying car...however they seems to have dropped activity with the forum, probably the project has had to take a backseat to daily humdrums of life in general.. we have at least one guest with a nicely finished (by photo) TS also..

The Dodge TS's are the only ones I have ever seen up close and personal...the production number of the Bz Cps were also low number in comparison, however you seen to see more of these floating about...the 2 doors and three window seem to be its saving grace...most collections place these a bit higher on the shelf in value.  As for the two door sedans not selling well, I can't say but for my own personal taste...I prefer the 2 door sedans body style over that of the two door club coupes..something about  that long rear side glass I guess...

Thought I would post some more pics.  I have driven it quite a bit the last couple of weeks, over 500 miles.  Taking the wife on a fall drive in it next weekend down to Henderson, KY.  Hoping to see some fall colors.

I can't get over how much bigger and roomier the Dodge is compared to the Plymouth.  I thought the Plymouth was big, looks compact next to the Dodge.  Still love the look of the '40's mopars.  If I had the space and money I'd buy more.

Nice. ... I like Henderson, Ky. Well, what I've seen of it, which is mostly Ellis Park. But I love Ellis Park.

Keep enjoying the ride!
