frankieflathead Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Started out the day with an early breakfast at my friend Stephanie's restaurant. Her advertising slogan is "Best Diner by a Dam Site." We've had a spectacular run of clear, dry weather here in southern Vermont for about the last ten days. I decided to treat the old bus to fresh set of plugs, because she was getting harder to start when warm. They helped a little, but she was still running a little lumpy. I discovered that the cause of the problem was that one of the hairpin clips in the choke linkage had disappeared, so it was just flopping around loose. Easy fix and a great improvement. Later on, I came across this Honda 600 for sale by the side of the road and just couldn't resist popping off a few frames. And thanx fur lookin'! Edited May 4, 2013 by frankieflathead Quote
plyroadking Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 The dodge looks good! I met a 2008 honda a year ago, he really liked my front fender and bumper. I got a $200 check to fix the scratch and his car was totaled..... Quote

The first new car I ever bought was a Honda 600 sportcar. Mine was a coupe, not the convertible. 4 cylinder Honda motorcycle engine that would rev up to 10,500 rpms, and I put megaphones on it. It was chain drive,so if you reved it up and dumped the clutch, the rear end would raise up in the air instead of squat down.. I bought it when I in the army on Okinawa, and re-enlisted. I bought it and a Triumph Bonneville with the reup money. This was in 1966,and it was the first or second year Honda made them. AFAIK,none were ever sold in this country, although I am aware of a few USAF C-130 crews flew some back to the states when they left Okie. Great little car for city driving, but it would scare the hell out of me to drive something that tiny on US highways. Quote
