pflaming Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Back! This forum is a great "time filler" with great advice. I keep a page open called "forum" advice. When I see information that will help me I cut and paste to that page. Will try to send picture of my truck, a 52 or 53. Plan is to put it in the garage this summer and CLEAN it for daily driver. I hit the picture icon, it asks for a url, I do not know what that means? Help! Quote
PatS.... Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Welcome back. There are a few different ways to post pics. I have an account at www.photobucket.com where I upload my pics. Once uploaded, they will have a photobucket url which I copy and paste into the box you described (after removing the http in the box) Others use other methods and they should chime in with instructions. Dennis_MN Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 one is photobucket.com where you cut and paste the url from information from that site. The picture remains on photobucket and all this forum gets is a url. The other method is to scroll down on the post reply page to an area called additional options. click on the bar called manage attachments. here you get an option to browse your computer and if the photo is small enough, that is in number of pixels it will let you send a picture up and store it on this forum server. For example, this photo of my truck was too large as it came out of my digital camera, so I had to use my photo tool to reduce the size. I chose 5 x 7 at 72 pixels per something.... you get a icon which when clicked on produces a larger image on a page by itself. anyway, you click on browse your computer, pick the image you want, then click upload. you keep doing this until you have the maximum number of photos, perhaps 5, then close that window and then finally hit submit replay button and there you go. pflaming Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 Beautiful under the hood treatment. I saw a new Dodge Nitro, it was black motor and chrome, liked that also. Quote
