Jim Yergin Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Went to a car show in Fairfax, Virginia yesterday. Small but nice show. Only Mopars were a 1937 Dodge with a V8 and a 1968 Challenger. Here are some pictures. Jim Yergin Quote

Normspeed Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Nics pics Jim. Is that a Lincoln Zephyr convert? I'd love to have a Zephyr some day, what a great looking car. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted May 20, 2007 Author Report Posted May 20, 2007 Norm, It is a Licoln Continental. I think the original Continentals were based on the Zephyr. The owner told me it has both an overdrive transmission and a Columbia two speed axle thereby providing potentially 12 speeds. Jim Yergin Quote
TodFitch Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 One of the local clubs had their big show today. No judging, no classes. Everything from totally restored classics (Pierce-Arrow, Packard, Cord) through ground up totally custom cars. With lots of "drivers" intermixed. James Douglas made it down from SF: I hope he made it back up without the alternator giving out totally. By the way, his satellite radio receiver/AM modulator/stock tube radio sounds very nice.
