I spent $500 for a moter n tranny for my truck. It has the carb n starter n generatorn new fuel pump n new clutch. I need new moter mounts. Does anyone have a good napa number. or who to call???? thanks noel in nm

I would think that a good NAPA dealer could look these up for you.  If not, there is Vintage Power Wagons, and I think that Roberts Motor Parts also sells them.  Mike

You might want to build a simple test stand and run that engine for a couple hours prior to installing it. Much easier to make any needed repairs on the bench than it is to make the repairs once it is installed.

I agree with Don's good advice. I'd get it running for a 1/2 hour or so out of the truck to be sure it's good to go .Check for leaks, noises and compression ect. Don's picture shows what's required.

I think that wood be a good idea to run it on the bench. He said it had an oil leak on the top of the oil pump. The prevois owner put a chev with a blower in da truck.

 I was hopeing to get a napa number so I could buy some parts local. thanks everyone noel
