Does anyone know what size screws hold on the inner windshiled frame on a P15?  Seems to me I remember they were some sort of special screw and now, naturally, I can't find mine as I get ready to install the frame.  What else is new?

as for length..couple sizes as I recall..the garnish trim is secured by what are called Jackson screws as they are special #8 body with #6 phillips head...the length can be determined by using a weld rod to go into the hole..hit the frame..and add for the depth of the screw into the body..

On my P15 I think I encountered two different windshield garnish screw lengths with the ones close to the vent windows needing the shorter screws. I don't know if the previous owner used factory correct ones.

Thanks guys, now I do remember that the heads were smaller than normal.  I guess I could turn down a regular screw on my lathe if worse came to worse.

Apparently two sizes used...... book does not show where each size goes.

Here's what the P15 Parts Manual says---

SCREW, Windshield Garnish Moulding (rd-hd., stainless S., No. 6 x 1 3/4")     quantity 10

SCREW, Windshield Garnish Moulding (rd-hd., stainless S., No. 8 x 1 1/2")      quantity 6

and......SCREW, Windshield Division Bar Garnish Moulding (rd-hd., stainless S., No. 8-32 x 13/16"   quantity 4
