gramps1951 Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 needless to say we all have some projects on our trucks to do couple weeks back i pulled the front drums off the old gramps mobile to see how things were it's about the only spot on my truck that is not changed out to something strange. brake shoes are getting thin and left wheel cyclinder is swetting a little. i would like to put discs in the front so it would stop better and be easer and cheaper to get parts for..i was looking on line and found scarebird classic brackets what do you guys know about them? is there someting better i want to keep the king pin front end . the rear shoes in the 9inch rearend are so much larger that she is stopping more from the rear brakes than from the front.. anyway any info would be helpful thanks . neil Quote

Merle Coggins Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Check out Rusty Hope http://www.rustyhope.com/mopardiscbrakes.html Charile is a member of this forum and his kits work well. He supplies the caliper brackets and some hardware, along with a list of other parts to use. You can shop around your local parts houses for the best price on the remaining brake components. I have his kit on my truck and I'm quite happy with it. Merle Quote
