Rustychucks Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Okay gentlemen, I'm trying to put together a little bit of rim dress up together for my 1951 Concord. I've been looking on hubcapmike.com and I've found the appropriate trim rings. However, does anyone know what size baby moons I should order? Perhaps where I could find some... Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Rusty......are you getting the wide or narrow trim rings? Do you still have the original wheels with the clips in the center for the hubcaps? If so, that makes using regular baby moons either very difficult or impossible. Most baby moon caps nowadays are designed to pop on over the "nubs" in the wheel center.....not with clips. There may be some for clips, but I don't know where to find them. You may need to find a decent set of original style caps for your car to work with the wheels. Normal baby moon............... Quote
pflaming Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 I agree with Bob. To my taste I would use the 'dog dish' with "Plymounth" on it with the ship on top of "Plymouth".. and to my taste I would paint the wheels black on your car. Yet the orange might be very sharp also. I painted mine blue. Just ideas, good luck, Wheels on a car are like a GOOD pair of shoes, they are the foundation. Quote
