Guest Zach Roberts Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 These posts about tires and rims have me thinking... I need to pick out a new set of tires. My P12 is finally getting back in driveable condition, but it will be many months (and many miles, I hope) before I'll be ready to spend big bucks on the nice WWW's. I just need a good, inexpensive tire for driving on the factory rims. Any recommendations? -Zach Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 Welll, Zach. You could go to Coker Tire website and check for a bias ply, probably their house brand would be least expensive. Or there are other antique tire dealers. Or....you might check with a local tire store in your town for good used radials taken off another car, or for their inexpensive tire models. I just put a set of 205-55-R16 tires on my wife's PT Cruiser and the bill was about $395. These were not major name tires, but are pretty good. Do you have 16 inch rims? The wide whites in this picture are bias ply Firestones in 6.70 x 15 from Coker and cost a little over $100 per tire. Quote
